The Five Leopards Form is one of the most important forms in Eagle Claw Kung Fu. Whilst the style is largely based on the eagle, in this form, the Eagle Claw practitioner also draws reference to the leopard. In Chinese folklore, the leopard is a fast running animal that is renowned for its agility and speed.
The Five Leopards form is an intermediate form aimed at enhancing the speed and footwork of the Eagle Claw practitioner. Relatively difficult kicks such as the hurricane, jump-slap kicks and continuous ground sweeps are introduced. The form is characterized by the pattern of five consecutive kicks within it which gives its namesake.
